Body

We have entered into our 2011-2012 Community Development Block Grant Funding Cycle.  The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is estimating our allocation to be $434,702 which is less than our original estimation of $463,338.  The attached chart is an update to the recommended funding levels presented at the April 11 Council meeting.  We were required to cut $28,636 from the budget; the recommendation to cut $10,000 from the Commercial Facade Program, $10,000 from the Residential Facade Program, and $8,636 from the Public Works Project.  If projects are funded at the recommended amounts, the budget will be balanced.

Per U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations, we are completing a 30-day public comment period and a public meeting was held on April 21.  No comments have been received to date.
