An Ordinance to provide for the disposition by sale of property located in Tech Park, Rock Hill South Carolina by the City of Rock Hill to the Hutton Company, LLC.

The Hutton Company, LLC closed on a 1.6 acre parcel on Lakeshore Parkway located in TechPark on April 29, 2011. The total price was $80,000 ($50,000 per acre). After reviewing their preferred site plan Hutton discovered that they needed additional property. The agreement before council is for the purchase of an additional 1.1 acres adjoining the original site located on Lakeshore Parkway. The total process is $55,000 ($50,000 per acre). The purchase agreement also has made allowances for The Hutton Company to begin grading the site and store construction equipment.
The Hutton Company will construct and lease a new facility to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for a new Social Security Administration (SSA) office in TechPark. The new facility will be a LEEDs certified building approximately 12,000 Square Feet and represents approximately $2 million in new investment. The Hutton Company intends to use as many local sub contractors as possible to help stimulate the local economy. The current SSA office, which is also, located in TechPark, employees approximately 28 individuals.
