Body
The City wastewater rate structure implemented in July 2007 addressed equitable distribution of wastewater fees based upon potential use given the water use potential at a location. This structure has proven effective for approximately 99.3% of the City wastewater customers. However, approximately 250 commercial customers exist that do not have individual water meters, but rather are served by a “master” water meter with a purpose to serve more than one location, a practice that is not longer permitted at new locations. After further evaluation of these few customers, a determination was made to re-evaluate the fee basis for these customers with non-standard water service points.
