This projects meets the strategic goal set by City Council to "complete all planned electric, water and sewer infrastructure improvements". This project also is listed in the current Capital Improvement Plans. The project will specifically enhance water quality, fire protection and create a backup feed to the Airport Industrial Park.
Bids were open on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Operation Center. We received a total of 7 bids. The low bid was Garawco, Inc. Garawco, Inc.'s office is a located in the City of Rock Hill. Most of the materials for this project will be purchased locally and the project will employ six to ten York County residents.
Based on the complete bid documentation submitted by the contractors and the enclosed Bid Tabulation and Summary, Garawco Inc., is the successful low bidder with a total base bid of $200,851.80.
