Body
The City is enacting a pending ordinance to alter and further clarify the definition of Retail Tobacco Store under Section 26-145, Definitions, of the City's Smoking Protection ordinance. The revisions to the definition of Retail Tobacco Store are to limit such businesses to the sale of tobacco related products. This revised definition will not allow any business to operate a bar or food establishment in conjunction with a tobacco store. The only proposed revisions under this pending ordinance are to the definition of Retail Tobacco Store under Section 26-145. Further revisions to the definition of Retail Tobacco Store may be required for second reading to further clarify this definition.
