Bids were opened at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2009 for the above project. This project will install approximately 3000 linear feet of new 16” D.I. water lines along SC Hwy 322.
Based on the complete bid documentation submitted by the contractors and the enclosed Bid Tabulation and Summary, Monroe Roadways Contractors, Inc. is the successful low bidder with a total base bid of $183,351.12, and a total alternate bid of $28,118.98.
This project meets the strategic goals set forth by the City Council. This project will help provide better water quality and fire protection to the Ashley Park, Windsor Ridge and Meadowlakes areas.
Staff recommends that City Council award the project to Monroe Roadways Contractors, Inc. for the low bid of $183,351.12.
