Title

Consider Planning Commission recommendation regarding petition M-2011-14 by Cook Out Rock Hill Inc. to rezone approximately 2.74 acres at 620 Automall Pkwy from Urban Development (UD) in York County to Community Commercial (CC).  The subject property is proposed to be annexed into the City of Rock Hill.  Tax parcel 662-00-00-024.

Strategic Goal:  Manage growth through the development of infill strategies and growth policies for the urban fringe.

Body

The redevelopment of the property has prompted the annexation and rezoning.  Cook Out agreed to annex the property when it became contiguous to the City’s boundaries in exchange for the provision of utility service outside of the City limits by the City until that point. The adjoining property came into the City in June, making Cook Out’s property contiguous to the City.  The Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed Community Commercial zoning at their Sept. 6 meeting.  See attached staff report for more information.
