Title

Consider Planning Commission recommendation regarding petition M-2011-26 by Lawson Holdings to rezone approximately 3.15 acres at 2331 Ebenezer Road from Industry General (IG) to Limited Commercial (LC).  Tax parcel 589-01-01-060. 

Strategic Goal:  Manage growth through the development of infill strategies and growth policies for the urban fringe. 

Body

The applicant is requesting the rezoning because the existing child care use is nonconforming in the Industry General (IG) zoning district.  In order to eliminate the nonconformity, the applicant is proposing Limited Commercial (LC) zoning, which permits child care.  No additional development of the property is planned at this time.  The Planning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning at their December meeting.  See attached staff report for more information.
