The American Public Power Association (APPA) has awarded the City of Rock Hill their Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) Award at the APPA Engineering & Operations Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee on March 21, 2011. This award recognizes public power providers that provide their consumers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service while focusing on work force development and system improvements. Rock Hill is one of eighty-two (82) cities out of over 2,000 public power utilities to receive this year's award. This biennial award has been designated to Rock Hill for two consecutive terms. Receiving this distinguished award demonstrates Rock Hill's commitment to excellence as a public power provider today and in the future.
