On December 2, 2011, bids were opened for the construction of the Piedmont Medical Center Trail connector to Hwy. 21 Bridge at the Riverwalk development.  Three bids were received.  Staff recommends awarding the bid to United Construction, Inc. for the amount of $148,940.  Funding sources for this project include $100,000 South Carolina Recreation Trails Grant and $48,940 from FY2012 Hospitality Tax.
