On April 19th, the Children’s Attention Home held their annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner honoring and thanking their supporters.
One of the founders of the Home, Fran Morris, presented the “Fran Morris Civic Award” to Rock Hill Utilities for their ongoing support of the Children’s Attention Home. In support of the #1 Question - Is It Good For The Children, the Utilities Department formed a committee in January 2010 with a goal to support area children’s shelters. Since then, they have put on various activities such as lunches, bake sales, and a basketball tournament, to raise money. To give everyone a sense of ownership in their efforts, employees take turns delivering monthly donations of money, food, clothing, toys and supplies including school supplies. This award recognizes the heart of giving and service our Utilities employees have and are able to share through the #1 Question initiative.
