An ordinance to consider amendment to Purchase and Sale Agreement for the sale of property located in Techpark, Rock Hill, South Carolina by the City of Rock Hill to The Hutton Company, LLC.

On February 8, 2010, City Council approved the Purchase Agreement for the sale of approximately 1.5 acres on Lakeshore Parkway located in TechPark to The Hutton Company, LLC. The total price is $75,000 ($50,000 per acre). The agreement before council extends the inspection period (which expired November 12, 2010) to January 6, 2011 which will provide additional time for clarification and approval of the building plans.
The Hutton Company will construct and lease anew facility to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for a new Social Security Administration (SSA) office in TechPark. The new facility will be a LEEDs certified building approximately 12,000 square feet and represents approximately $2 million in new investment. The Hutton Company intends to use as many local sub contractors as possible to help stimulate the local economy. The current SSA office, which is also located in TechPark, employees approximately 28 individuals.
