Title

An Ordinance to authorize the execution and delivery of various documents in order to fund a portion of the cost associated with the demolition, clean-up and abatement activities and all other eligible expenses related to the removal of friable asbestos from the former Rock Hill Printing and Finishing industrial site located along White Street in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Body

City Council (“City”) approved amendments to the Demolition, Abatement and Purchase Agreement previously executed with Action Demolition and RHP&F. In order to provide a portion of the funding for demolition and abatement work related to the friable asbestos on the Bleachery site, the City has applied for DHEC and federal stimulus monies related to Brownfields loans and grant. In order to utilize these funds estimated at $1,500,000.00, the City must adopt this ordinance approving of the City entering into agreements related to the Brownfields loans and grant.
